BallotPoint ® is the only electronic voting (evoting) system designed specifically to meet the requirements of Title IV of the LRMDA, which, among other things, REQUIRES union officer elections be run by the secret-ballot process – meaning that at NO time can there be a link that ties a vote back to it's voter.
We didn't develop our system to meet the sub-standard voting required by K-12 voters, home owner associations, contests, etc. BallotPoint was designed to meet the requirements of the Department of Labor and specifically Title IV of the LMRDA – PERIOD.
BallotPoint is the only service provider to guarantee the anonymity of ALL voters. It's not enough to say that the ballots are secret because they come across an encrypted Internet connection, are split from the voter's identity and then stored on the election system in an encrypted form.
Merely stating the above leads to the question "What happens BEFORE my identity and vote are separated?" At that point the election provider "could" tie a voter to his vote. This is not the definition of secrecy. Who knows whether or not a rogue election service provider employee is looking at votes and providing that information to someone? The fact that someone "could" do this adds a level of uncertainty in the election process.
With the BallotPoint system, a voter's identity is ALWAYS anonymous, meaning that at no time can a voter be tied to his vote. Even BallotPoint personnel cannot tie the vote to a specific voter, meaning that that voter's vote is secret.
Please check-out our website. See how we guarantee secrecy and adherence to Title IV of the LMRDA. See how we support labor by using a union printer bug for ALL our printing and mailing needs. See how we have former OLMS enforcement officers on staff that can answer all your questions, even those non-balloting questions.
BallotPoint is the service provider you can trust. Our voting system is secure, secret, and provides the transparancy you and your memebers require – GUARANTEED!
